Starrcade ’85: The Gathering Is Presented

Jim Crockett Promotions presents Starrcade ’85: The Gathering.  The event emanated from two separate locations, Greensboro, N.C. and Atlanta, GA., both of which sold-out, drawing over 32,000 spectators live and tens of thousands more watching via closed-circuit.  All total, Starrcade ’85 generated over $936,000, a tremendous success. The co-main events featured Magnum T.A. vs. Tully Blanchard in their legendary “I Quit” match and Dusty Rhodes defeating Ric Flair for the NWA World championship.
