The two also put together a side bet of $1,000.00 on the match on the title unification match (McMahon was the Canadian & Pacific Coast Collar & Elbow and McLaughlin held various titles). McLaughlin outweighed McMahon 243 lbs. to 204 lbs and dominated the early part of the match, gaining the first fall in 22 minutes. McMahon came back to grab the second fall in 25 minutes.After 30 minutes, the referee F. F. Clark raised McMahon’s hand and declare him the victory having won the final fall.
