Hulk Hogan Faces Andre the Giant at the Showdown at Shea

The third and final WWF “Showdown At Shea” event takes place in Queens, New York, featuring, arguably, the strongest line-up in the trio of supercards. Hulk Hogan faced Andre the Giant in a match seven years prior to their famous meeting at WrestleMania III, reigning WWF Heavyweight champion Bob Backlund teamed with former champion Pedro Morales to defeat World Tag Team titleholders The Wild Samoans and in the main-event, Bruno Sammartino defeated archrival Larry Zbyszko inside of a steel cage.
