Tom Connors Best Evan “Strangler” Lewis Amidst Multiple Fouls

In front of a crowd of 3,000 fans in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tom Connors defeated Evan “Strangler” Lewis in match marred by multiples fouls. Connors was awarded the matched after the first three falls ended because of fouls and a war of words broke out between the two corners, almost causing the officials to call the match off.

Lewis was famous the world over for his wrestling prowess and his incredibly effective “strange-hold.” Connors, much smaller in stature at 5′ 6″, and 150 lbs., but sported a record of 107 wins and only three losses. In the fourth and only decisive fall, Connors was the victor and thus claimed the American Catch as Catch Can Title.
