Japanese legend Mitsuharu Misawa, who was the 2nd man to play the role of Tiger Mask, dies in the ring at the age of 46. Misawa had been competing in a tag team match against GHC Tag Team champions Akitoshi Saito & Bison Smith when he took a back suplex from Saito. After remaining motionless following the suplex, referee Shuichi Nishinaga stopped the match and a doctor in attendance attempted to perform CPR, with no success. Misawa suffered from a separation of his 1st & 2nd cervical vertebrae, with the official cause of death being listed as atlanto-axial dislocation.
